Look Who Came Crawling Back!Following the overwhelming success of our debut symposium, the Second First Annual Boss Baby Symposium represents the culmination of bleeding-edge Boss Baby scholarship from minds around the globe. We seek to bring diverse perspectives into a rigorous, panel-style discussion of 2017 film The Boss Baby (starring Alec Baldwin), greatly expanding the depth and breadth of inquiry into this beloved and enigmatic film. As Ted Templeton, father of the titular Boss Baby, once exclaimed: “Aww, it’s like they’re having their own little meeting!” IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT FOR REVIEW OR REGISTERING TO ATTEND, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING LINKS: CALL FOR PAPERS: https://philevents.org/event/show/100974 REGISTRATION: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdicLeWVe69yIgwq5YWFOGMLPIL8X7xJVFDQkGealmBHiSz7Q/viewform |
WHAT IS THE BOSS BABY SYMPOSIUM?
The Future
Our goal is to foster a community of thinkers that is willing to join us in answering the question: How do we interpret The Boss Baby? We believe the film can help us understand our historical moment in ways that other films can't, and the only logical method of exploring this idea is to host a formal interdisciplinary conference. We are confident that you would have reached the same conclusion on your own.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
The TruthWith the help of some of the brightest minds from around the world, attendees will venture through a veritable safari of Boss Baby discourse. Frankly, we don't know exactly what you'll find, but we know it will leave you thinking, "Yep, that was definitely a symposium dedicated to the 2017 film titled "The Boss Baby."
